Pekanbaru-Universitas Islam Riau (UIR) continues to expand its educational network through strategic partnerships with 17 partner schools located outside Pekanbaru. This initiative reflects the university’s commitment to fostering collaboration with educational institutions and supporting the development of high-quality human resources throughout Riau Province.

The partnerships were formalized through the signing of cooperation agreements involving schools from various regencies and municipalities. The collaboration serves as an important milestone in strengthening the relationship between secondary education institutions and higher education providers while promoting a more integrated and sustainable educational ecosystem.

Rector of Universitas Islam Riau, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Admiral, S.H., M.H., emphasized that cooperation with schools is a strategic step toward bridging the gap between secondary and higher education. He noted that the partnership would create opportunities for various programs benefiting both students and educators.

“UIR remains committed to serving as a strategic partner in educational development. Through this collaboration, we hope to contribute to improving learning quality, broadening students’ perspectives, and preparing future generations to face global challenges,” he stated.

The scope of the partnership includes higher education outreach programs, teacher training and professional development, student mentoring initiatives, academic visits, as well as collaborative activities in research and community engagement.

Through these partnerships, UIR aims to provide broader access to higher education information for students across different regions while encouraging innovation and meaningful collaboration in the education sector. The university also seeks to strengthen connections with schools as part of its broader mission to promote academic excellence and educational inclusivity.
