UIR and INHA University in South Korea are launching the Double Degree Program for the Odd Semester of 2024

Universitas Islam Riau Riau (UIR) does not quickly become complacent; commencing the year 2024, UIR once again expands its collaborative efforts. This time, the target country for UIR is South Korea. UIR delegation’s visit to the negeri ginseng on Monday – Tuesday (15-16/01/2024) involved a visit to Inha University for the purpose of benchmarking collaboration.

The UIR delegation, consisting of the Rector Prof. Dr. H. Syafrinaldi, S.H., M.C.L., Vice Rector I Dr. H. Syafhendry, M.Si., Vice Rector II Dr. Firdarus AR, S.E., M.Si., Ak. Ca., along with the Head of the Office of Academic Administration (BAAK) Dr. Kurnia Hastuti, S.T., M.T., Head of Simfokom Bureau Ause Labella Pansa, S.T., M.Cs., M.Kom, and the Head of the Office of International Affairs and Cooperation (KUIK) Dr. Rendi Prayuda, M.Si., discussed various strategic opportunities, especially in the enhancement of academic quality that can be undertaken by both campuses.

UIR visit to Inha University is one of the international collaboration benchmarking agendas, and this agenda is also a form of implementation and extension of the MoU that was carried out some time ago with Chairman Education Busan Indonesia Center Kim Soo Il,” said Rendi Prayuda, Head of KUIK, to the UIR Public Relations Team.

Rendi also stated that in the same agenda, they discussed several collaboration opportunities that will be held in the first semester of 2024, including exchange student programs, summer schools, staff mobility programs, and double degree programs.

“One of the implementations of the collaboration is the presence of the Double Degree Program, where students will experience two learning atmospheres simultaneously at UIR and Inha University, which will also become UIR’s flagship program in the 2024 student admissions,” he added.

Furthermore, the UIR delegation’s visit to Inha University was welcomed by Prof. Kyung Jin Min, Dean of the Global Education Project Group, Prof. Myeong Seung Hwan, Head of the Center for Security Convergence & e-governance CSCeG, Prof. Changhoon Jung P.hD as a Professor in the Division of Social Science, and Prof. Kim Hyeonsoo as Industrial Security Governance at Inha University.
