Universitas Islam Riau (UIR) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Migrant Workers Protection of Indonesia (P2MI), followed by a public lecture delivered by the Minister on “Overseas Work Opportunities and Safe Migration.” The event took place on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at UIR in Pekanbaru.

The MoU and lecture aimed to strengthen institutional cooperation and provide valuable insights to students and the UIR academic community about job opportunities abroad and the importance of understanding safe, legal, and protected migration. This initiative also serves as a strategic educational platform to enhance awareness and readiness among prospective Indonesian migrant workers.

Through this collaboration, UIR reaffirms its commitment to improving human resource capacity, boosting graduates’ competencies, and fostering synergy with the government in efforts to protect Indonesian migrant workers.
