Universitas Islam Riau (UIR) organized a Silaturahmi (gathering) and buka puasa (breaking of fast) event attended by UIR leaders, foreign students, and representatives of UIR’s cooperation partners on Wednesday, 12 March 2025, in Pekanbaru.

The event brought together international students, members of the academic community, and various external partners to strengthen relationships and foster open communication. It served as a forum for reinforcing synergy between UIR’s leadership and its global network while celebrating the spirit of togetherness during the holy month of Ramadan.

Also present were representatives from local institutions and partner organizations, including IPTU Putra Adin Mardeka of Sat Intelkam Polresta Pekanbaru, Raja Reza Hedhiansah, S.H. from Pekanbaru Immigration, Hj. Irma Novrita, S.Sos., M.Si. — Head of the Population and Civil Registration Office of Pekanbaru City, as well as partners from the healthcare, banking, and media sectors.

Through this activity, UIR reaffirmed its commitment to providing the best support and engagement with international students, as well as to strengthening cooperative networks with strategic partners that help advance the university’s internationalization and institutional development.
